How to Get Involved
In just 4 simple steps, you can get involved and support our school:
- Join the ICS PTSA.
- Subscribe to the weekly ICS PTSA newsletter (events and volunteering).
- Make the expected minimum donation of $225 per family.
- Have your family volunteers complete the volunteer application.
Family Involvement is Essential
When families give their time, talents, and financial support, we can provide the programs, events, and activities that make ICS a special place to spend the middle and high school years. Your active participation and support of the ICS PTSA are essential to sustaining these distinctive events:
- Camp Phoenix – our annual all school camp in fall
- Focus Week – our annual week-long menu of extended learning in spring
- Phoenix Day – a full day of extended learning on campus
- International Night – a community celebration of food from around the world
- PTSA Clubs – parent run clubs including
- Grants to support school clubs and learning environments
- And more ...
How Do I Volunteer
ICS is most successful when every family gives at least 30 hours of their time. Most families give more. Start by attending PTSA meetings. Your time at those meetings counts towards your hours. We have in-person and Zoom options.
What to knock out your hours early? Traffic management in the first 2 weeks of school is a great opportunity to help out!
Watch the PTSA newsletter and What's App groups for volunteer opportunities. We have at home, large block (Camp Phoenix and Focus Week), and at school options. If you have a special circumstance, contact our volunteer coordinator. They will help you find a meaningful way to contribute your talents to support our school.
Any family member or family friend can help meet your hours. Some opportunities are open to high school and middle school students also.
How Else Can I Donate
- We always welcome additional donations. Many families donate more. Encourage family and friends to support our school financially.
- We ask that the minimum donation be completed by October to ensure we can fund activities for the school year.

- If your employer has donation or hours matching, sign up to match to International Community School PTSA 2.8.89. EIN: 91-180111. Matching funds are an important part of the ICS community budget and very much appreciated.
- Families requiring financial assistance are supported by the school administration and the ICS PTSA for their membership fees.
