About Us

Welcome!

ICS PTSA, Unit 2.8.89, was chartered by the Washington State PTA on October, 5, 2000 as a nonprofit, independent organization. We take great pride in providing the best support possible to the staff, students, and parent community of the International Community School, a choice school in the Lake Washington School District, serving grades 6-12.

ICS PTSA helps foster an inclusive environment for students, parents and staff to feel a sense of belonging to the ICS school community. We create opportunities to drive awareness of diversity in our community across various backgrounds including racial, gender, religious, sexual and socioeconomic. We commit to equity in access to programs, resources and services offered by the school.

The ICS PTSA Board welcomes all families who are part of the ICS community.

Every year at ICS is exciting as we strive to enhance the educational experience of our students. We aim to use our resources wisely in order to offer students a variety of clubs and activities, provide the staff with supplemental supplies, instructional aids, and continuing ed classes, and to engage families by allowing them to be involved in many ways from advocacy, to soliciting matching funds, to putting on fun events like the Taste of ICS and Art Day, to chaperoning camps and field trips.

We invite you to become actively involved in PTSA activities so that you can enjoy the benefits of PTSA membership and, more importantly, have a part in your student’s education this year!

Please stay in touch via our monthly parent meetings, the website, and our weekly newsletters so that you know what is going on in our learning community.
